SEDEMAC's Smart Ignition solution for small, spark ignited engines utilizes an algorithm to estimate loads in real-time thereby providing significant flexibility in the choice of the appropriate spark timing. The company recently developed the sensorless Integrated Starter Generator (ISG) solution that has potential applicability on all small engines produced in the world due to its unique ability to use a standard crankshaft mounted alternator as a highly reliable starter.
Shashikanth is a founder and leads Sedemac. He is responsible for overall strategy, product choice, relationships with senior management of customers, investor relationship and team building.
After earning a BTech from IIT Madras in 1998, Shashikanth got his PhD from the University of California, Berkeley in 2002. Subsequently, he worked with GE Global Research, New York after which he has joined the faculty of IIT Bombay where he continues to serve. He is a recipient of the MIT TR 35 award.
Amit is a founder of Sedemac and heads the R&D function at the company. He is responsible for early stage investigations leading up to technology and product definitions.
Amit obtained his BE from the University of Mumbai in 2003, MTech from IIT Bombay in 2005 and a PhD from IIT Bombay in 2007. Amit is excited about coming up with novel product ideas that provide genuine value.
Manish is a founder at Sedemac and heads supply chain. He is responsible for delivery & manufacturing quality. Manish is also responsible for strategic sourcing & vendor development.
Manish obtained his BE from University of Mumbai in 2001 and an MTech from IIT Bombay in 2006 after which he worked at IIT Bombay towards realizing India's first steer-by-wire vehicle. Manish then worked for Eaton India Engineering Centre before joining SEDEMAC.
Manish is excited about participating in technology stories that bring the best out of available resources for the benefit of the community-at-large.
